A dinner in honor of the Ambassador of Cuba, Dario de Urra, was organized by the leadership of the Lebanese Communist Party, because of the Cedar National Award delivered to him by the President of the Lebanese Republic, Emile Lahoud, before the expiration of his presidential period.

The General Secretary of the Lebanese Communist Party pronounced a few words recognizing the Ambassador’ s work aims to develop  the relationship among our peoples and also  referred the strength of the existed friendship between Cuba and Lebanon.  Dario de Urra thanked the Party leadership and underlined that Cuba never close its Embassy during the hard periods of war suffered by the Lebanese people and he explained that the Award  is dedicated to the staff of the Cuban Embassy and to the Cuban people.

The Party leadership invited some Ambassador of the Latin American countries accredited in Beirut.
