Twelve days in Cuba - Second day

The next day was planed for a tour in certain neighborhoods of the capital: Havana, accompanied by the concern of dictatorship and so mentioned oppressions in the newspapers.

It is no better than to go on foot, to mix with the population and to observe their natural behaviors, to listen their spontaneous daily conversations and without preparation.

What I saw astonished me. People discussing freely the various subjects of their daily life without precautions and without concern to be heard or interrupted by anybody. One plans to get himself a new suit, and that one prepares an evening with a new girlfriend, another looks for a new house and a means to overcome the difficulties (especially juridical). I heard all that by coincidence while mixing with the people and without talking to them.

I also saw how the Cuban citizen obtains his monthly ration of food by card without objection and by spontaneous respect to the priorities of others: minors, old persons or pregnant women. Several times somebody asked me if I was in tail regarding not to surpass me (the asking were of different ages, younger and older).

To say the truth I do not see there the behavior of those who react with the events under pressure.
