The President of the Lebanese Republic, General Emile Lahoud, received this morning, the Cuban Ambassador.

The diplomat choose the occasion to remit to His Excellency the President, the Cuban rapport to the United Nations Secretary General about the actions taken by the Government of the United States from 2006 to 2007, against Cuba on the frame of the blockade imposed by them to our country from almost fifty years, and,  at the same time, he thanked the support of the Lebanese Republic to our people on the resolution of the UNO that from twelve years the Organization approved demanding the knock down of the blockade.

The Head of the Lebanese State remembered with pleasure his stay in Cuba during the Non Aligned Summit last year and he send to our President his warms regards and best wishes of good health and total recovery

The Cuban Ambassador gave to the President an explanation about the situation of the Cuban five imprisoned at United States jails and also about the actions carried out in Lebanon to sensibly the public opinion and demanding their freedom.
