INTRODUCTION:

D'Arte is the Division for Artistic and Literary Promotions of ARTEX S.A., an entity devoted to the promotion and marketing of technical assistance and technical and professional services in the field of Culture. It was created in 1997 and is centraly in charge of this kind of work in Cuba and abroad, in order to facilitate the links and contacts for those interested in a better approach to the Cuban culture. It is very well linked to the system of institutions of the Ministry of Culture, the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and Hermanos Saiz Asociation (AHS).

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS:

We offer you, so far, 4 Workshops to develop in Havana, Varadero, Trinidad, Cayo Coco and the city of Santiago de Cuba. The dates for this workshops are selected by our costumers, with a lengh of aproximately 15 days and a minimum of participants of 6 people. The developed specialities are as follows:
- Workshop on Cuban popular dances (15 hours-class, price: $75.00 USD)
- Workshop on Afrocuban music and dances (40 hours-class, price: $200.00 USD)
- Workshop on Cuban percusion (40 hours-class, price: $250.00 USD)
- Workshop on modern and contemporary dance (40 hours-class, price: $200.00 USD)

We have in project two courses on Methodology of the National School of Ballet and Teaching Piano in Cuba.

We also offer complementary activities to the courses, such as:
- Conference on the origin and evolution of popular and Afrocuban dances (2 hours-class, price: $5.00 USD)
- Attendance to the practices of traditional "comparsas" participating at Havana Carnival (Guaracheros de Regla, Componedores de Batea, La Sultana, Boyeros, etc.) (1 hour-class, price: $5.00 USD)
- Día de la Rumba (Day of Rumba, popular dance event organized by the comunity in a neighbourhood of Havana) (2 hours-class, price: $5.00 USD)
- Cultural work at the community, including a visit to a one Casa de la Cultura (Cultural Home, municipal institution devoted to massification of National culture) (price: $5.00 USD)
