Havana, Oct 31 (Prensa Latina)
The US government's plan to assist toward a free
Cuba has all the attributes of an annexationist
program, and entails more than that applied to
Iraq, said Cuban Vice Foreign Minister Abelardo
Moreno Monday.
Moreno explained to numerous
representatives of Cuba´s civilian society,
meeting in their third forum against the US
economic and commercial blockade, that the new
Washington plan is an essential component of its
aggressive policy against Cuba.
With this plan, there is no
longer camouflage about financing mercenaries and
internal subversion is promoted, for which it
alloted 36 million dollars, he said.
The vice minister pointed
out this is another attempt to asphyxiate the
Cuban people with an intense economic war, and to
establish a civil society to prepare things for
annexation.
Cuban civil society must
condemn this State terrorism practiced by the US
government and demand immediate release of the
Cuban Five anti-terrorism fighters still
imprisoned in the US.
He continued that
accusations against Cuba for biological weapons
and the propaganda around its role with the
Venezuelan Bolivarian Revolution seek to minimize
the international support for Cuba.
The agenda of the forum
included conferences on the effects of the
blockade and the objectives and effects of media
campaigns against Cuba, as well as manipulation of
the Cuban people's religious feelings to split
national unity.
Cuban NGOs participating in
the meeting issued a document declaring that the
US is responsible for serious crimes against
humankind, violates international laws and creates
an unfair international order to justify its
actions, and it calls on governments,
international institutions, and NGOs to denounce
the US government's maneuvers.
